The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held in the first quarter of the year (1st Jan-31st Mar).
The Secretary gives one month’s notice of the date. (See Communication Section)
Any member of the club who has played in a Seniors Competition since the last AGM is eligible to attend, make proposals and vote. Any proposal requiring a vote must be lodged with the Secretary 14 days before the AGM.
The quorum for the AGM will be 10 members not including the Committee.
The agenda will include reports from the Captain, Treasurer, Competition Secretary and the Secretary. The Secretary may introduce any relevant correspondence.
Any changes to the rules of golf or information from the Club not covered in the reports may be introduced separately.
Proposals will be decided by a simple majority, The Captain having a casting vote in the event of a tied vote.
The officers and members of the committee are elected by vote (having been proposed and seconded (A form is made available along with notice of the AGM)).
Officers appointed will be Captain, Secretary, Treasurer and Competition Secretary. There may also be appointed a Vice Captain and an Assistant Competition Secretary.
The committee may co-opt additional members as necessary.
