Except for the Charity PairsTrophy, the Greenkeepers’ Trophy and the Strokeplay Championship, entry fees into Seniors’ Competitions is £2.50 per person. 50P of the entrance money is retained to cover other expenses incurred and usually 4/5th of the remaining £2.00 is paid out in proportions as laid out in the table below. In all cases the prize monies are allocated to the players cards as described below, with the Treasurer having discretion to round the sums.
Singles Competitions – Prize money is awarded as shown in the following table depending on the number of entrants.

Pairs and Threesomes etc; – Prize money is paid to 1st and 2nd placed groups in the ratio 60%, 40%. (each team member getting the same amount).

The Strokeplay Championship is played over two rounds and players pay an entry fee of double the amount for a singles competition but this enables them to play in both rounds. The Prize Fund (four/fifths of the entry fees) is divided into three – 30% is paid out for the leading positions in Round 1 in the proportions above, and 30% is paid out in exactly the same proportions for the leading positions achieved in Round 2 i.e. for the scores recorded on that day. The net scores for both days are added together and the Strokeplay Champion is the player with the lowest net score across the two rounds. The remaining 40% of the Prize Fund is paid to the leaders in the overall finishing positions in the same proportions as in the Rounds. (para added Sept 2020)

In Matchplay Singles the prize fund (4/5ths of the entry fee) will be divided among the first and second places (60%/40%).
Matchplay Pairs – Prize money is allocated as for Pairs/Threesomes i.e.60%/40% divided equally between each pair.

In the Greenkeepers Cup and the Charity Day Pairs where the entry fee is doubled four tenths of the total entry fee goes into the prize fund (allocated as above).

For the eclectics (if four rounds are completed) and the Summer and Winter Orders of Merit there is a £20 prize for 1st and £10 for 2nd.

Each Trophy will be presented to the winner at the annual award ceremony/lunch.
